Racial Justice Healing Presentation & Discussion~

We welcome you to share in the experience of lifting up the work of racial justice and healing, and growing our capacity for multiracial solidarity!

Joining us to share about their work and facilitate a conversation will be members from the Western Mass chapter of Showing Up For Racial Justice (SURJ), a national organization that focuses on mobilizing white people for justice work, particularly around systemic racism, but also across many intersections of oppression.

Our friends Avi and Kaybe will offer their stories of how and why they got involved in WMSURJ, their solidarity work with the Hassanamisco Band of Nipmuc and other racial justice work. There will be some small-group sharing around moments that have clarified our politics, activism, and values in life.

The intention of this gathering is to help inspire our community to deepen in the ways we are involved in justice work, both in looking at how systemic oppression can manifest in ourselves and in our community, as well as how we support one another as we engage with justice and solidarity work in the greater community and beyond.
