DESCRIPTION:Welcome to Spirit of the Heart!\n\n\n\nOur mission is to inspire personal transformation through martial arts\, fitness and self-defense training in a compassionate environment.\nWe teach Indonesian Silat Martial Arts and STRONG™ Self-Defense. We help to empower people to be healthy\, strong and awesome!\n\n\nFounded over 25 years ago by head instructor Nancy Rothenberg\, Spirit of the Heart offers a non-competitive environment for both adults and children to expand on their fitness and their mental and physical wellness. Silat or Indonesian Kung Fu\, is a very raw martial art offering a straight to the point approach. Founded on the four principles of tiger\, monkey\, crane\, and snake\, the style encourages students to push both their bodies and their minds to the limit.

DESCRIPTION:Join the Sirius Community THIS SATURDAY 9/21 for our new EcoVillage Immersion Day! \n\n________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________\n\nSchedule and pricing are as follows: \n\n9am-12:30: Joyful Productivity (“JP”) Community Service (Optional Work-trade and opportunity to meet the members of Sirius Community in collaboration on tending our land and infrastructure. Reduced rate of $15-35 for the whole day of events) \n12:30-1pm: Planetary Healing Meditation (A Sirius and Findhorn Community tradition of sending positive energy to those in need of support. Led by our founder\, Linda Reimer) \n1-2:30pm: Lunch with the Sirius Community ($10-30) \n3-4pm: Regenerative Social Forestry Walk (A deep dive into the ecology of our young ridge-top mixed forest ecosystem\, including the symbiotic human community within and around it. A guided\, meditative journey into communion with the flora\, fauna\, fungi\, and other friends who want to feel even more at home with each other. DESCRIPTION:We welcome you to share in the experience of lifting up the work of racial justice and healing\, and growing our capacity for multiracial solidarity!\n\nJoining us to share about their work and facilitate a conversation will be members from the Western Mass chapter of Showing Up For Racial Justice (SURJ)\, a national organization that focuses on mobilizing white people for justice work\, particularly around systemic racism\, but also across many intersections of oppression.\n\nMonday\, September 30th\, 6-8pm in the Octagon\nSirius EcoVillage (18 Community Center Drive)\, Shutesbury\, MA\nDonations Welcome\nOur friends Avi and Kaybe will offer their stories of how and why they got involved in WMSURJ\, their solidarity work with the Hassanamisco Band of Nipmuc and other racial justice work.
