Join us for a sacred and mystical evening of Sema on Saturday, May 24th, at the Octagon in the Sirius Community. This devotional gathering invites all into a space of presence, prayer, turning, and live music — an offering of the heart through movement and sound.
The evening will be led by Omar Aena, a spiritual guide and movement facilitator walking the Sufi path, and the founder of Dance Beyond — a movement and music collective devoted to healing, remembrance, and sacred embodiment. Dance Beyond blends ecstatic dance, ritual, world music, and spiritual practice, creating spaces where people can reconnect with their essence beyond form. The work is rooted in universal mysticism and the language of love that transcends all traditions.
Inspired by the Sufi practice of whirling meditation (Sema), this event is open to all hearts and paths — an invitation to stillness, devotion, and deep communion.
Musicians for the evening:
Althea – A gifted violinist whose playing carries both tenderness and fire, inviting listeners into a deeply felt experience.
