Everything you need to know about being a guest at Sirius.

We’re so glad you’ll be visiting Sirius!

Each year, hundreds of guests come to Sirius to tour the ecovillage, relax on a retreat, or participate in hosted educational programs.

The Sirius Community Center serves as the central hub for guest accommodations, program meeting spaces, our vegetarian certified commercial kitchen and dining area. In the tradition of retreat-style housing, our accommodations are kept intentionally minimalistic to provide opportunity for rest and recharge, without the distractions of televisions and telephones, although, free WiFi is provided for those bringing their own devices.

Please explore the rest of the site to discover the many different ways of connecting with Sirius. From getting involved in our internship program, attending or producing events to holistic retreats, Sirius continues to serve as an oasis and model of sustainability, community, education, and spirituality: our fourfold mission.

Many rooms, guest showers and facilities are conveniently located in the Community Center. The guest spaces are mostly shared rooms, with two or three beds in each room. If you’d like a more private experience, there are three single rooms that all have queen-size beds. For larger groups, we also offer accommodations in a building that is only a 2 minute walk away.

Organic vegetarian meals are included as part of the overnight package, and are enjoyed in the Community Center dining room. Between-meal snacks are also provided for conference guests and during other events.

Guest meals are prepared by people who care deeply about the planet and your health. Our cooks use organic vegetarian ingredients, many of which are grown right here in our gardens, orchards and greenhouses. Salads are commonly picked within an hour or two of serving.

We have indoor and outdoor seating, plus tables in the greenhouse, which can be toasty warm on the coldest days just from the sun. Everyone pitches in during cleanup, so our guests get a chance to meet and chat with our members and neighbors who participate in community meals.

Do you have a special diet? Let us know ahead of time so that we can be sure to accommodate your needs.

Meal Plans:

Breakfast: $10

Lunch: $15

Dinner: $20

We have regularly scheduled community dinners Tuesday to Friday from 6:30-7:30pm. You may join these meals for a fee of $10. Please call ahead to confirm and reserve your spot.

For the benefit of all of our members and guests, we ask visitors to observe the following protocols:

  • We wish to maintain a cigarette smoke-free environment.
  • Please do not bring any alcohol or drugs.
  • Sirius is not equipped to handle pet housing.
  • Please refrain from using scented products like perfumes, colognes, hair products, etc.
  • Please do not light candles or incense in guest rooms. Candles may be used in meeting rooms as long as they are placed in fireproof receptacles designed for that purpose and are extinguished when the room is unoccupied, such as during meals or breaks.

Here is a list of items that you can bring that will make your stay at Sirius more comfortable.

  • Toiletries (soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, toothpaste, razor, hairbrush etc)
  • Flashlight for getting around forested paths at night (especially for those camping). We have extras, if needed.
  • Insect repellent (Picaridin based recommended, or DEET)
  • Water bottle, sunglasses, hat, and sunscreen
  • Walking/hiking shoes for outdoors and hiking trails
  • Winter: snowshoes.
  • Summer: bathing suit for the pond or sauna.

Because of our location in the beautiful forests of the Pioneer Valley, cellphone service can be spotty. In general, Verizon service is more widely available on the property than AT&T. For calls that need to be made, we have landlines available or guests can use wifi-calling through their personal devices using our free wifi.
